Karianne Soulsby

Karianne Soulsby graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wayne State University-School of Fine and Performing Arts in Detroit, Michigan. She has performed extensively at The Bonstelle Theatre and Hilberry Repertory Theatre in over 20 productions including the U.S. Premier of The Greeks I & II (Hilberry Theatre) and Sarcophagus (Bonstelle Theatre). She was “Glinda the Good” in the U.S. tour of the Wizard of OZ (Detroit Institute of Arts, sponsor). Some of her Chicago area credits include “Eliza Doolittle” in My Fair Lady and “Mame” in Mame at the Wagon Wheel Theatre and “Sweet Sue” in Sugar at The Apple Tree Theatre.

Karianne has worked with many Directors of note including Roger Bean, Gary Griffin, Anthony Schmitt, Mark Lococo and David Zak. She has also directed several children’s shows including Snoopy!!! The Musical, Guys and Dolls, Jr. and most recently assistant directed The Wizard of OZ at SPACE.

In addition to her theatre skills, Karianne is also an accomplished Pastry Chef. She is the Chef and Owner of Diva Chocolates & Confections and has been Pastry Chef at Zealous (Chicago) and Southgate Café (Lake Forest). She is a graduate of The French Pastry School and is currently cake decorating, baking and a Manager at Sweet Mandy B’s. She is also the Mother of two beautiful daughters, Madeline and Julia.
