General Registration: $35

Students should register for lessons and classes in person in the beginning of each academic year at SPACE Peterson Studio. Registrations may be accepted through faxing. A non-refundable registration fee of $35.00 is charged to each student per academic year. Families are only required to pay one registration fee. Students are not permitted to attend lessons or classes until registration, waiver and release, students handbook forms filled and signed up and tuition and the registration fee have been paid. Faculty members are requested not to teach students who have not registered and paid.

New Music Students / Placement

New students enrolling for private instruction must arrange for a placement interview with the Director of SPACE. This process assists both the Director and student in finding the most appropriate instructor for his/her particular needs and interests. Registration for private instruction is accepted at any time during the year. Tuition is calculated on a pro-rated basis.

New Dance Students / Placement

It is SPACE policy to evaluate incoming young students and assign class levels prior to registration. Placement classes are by appointment only. Placement is under discretion of the instructor and is depended on age, years of experience and alignment. Late enrollments for these classes can only be accepted at the discretion of the dance faculty. Please note: Students should expect to stay in each dance level an average of two years.

Continuing Students

Continuing students register for five terms and they are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee beginning of each new academic year. Invoices are divided into five payments through out the year. They are e-mailed prior to the start of each term to ensure placement in the program except Term I and Summer. If payments are not received during the official payment period students will be charged a late fee of $20.00. A finance charge of $30 each month will be assessed on unpaid, undisputed balances more than 30 days past due.
Students who are in payment plan must pay in full before the new term starts. Otherwise, they cannot attend for next term.

Registration Forms

New students fill out a New Registration form prior to the start of instruction in the program. New Registration form and waiver and release are printable in SPACE's website. Continuing students are required to inform SPACE office immediately in case of address, phone or e-mail changes.

Dress Code Requirements for Dance Program

Proper dance attire is required. SPACE. reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose attitude or conduct is unsatisfactory.

  • Female Students, Ballet Black camisole leotard, pink tights and pink shoes. Hair should be worn up secured in a bun, away from face.
  • Character Ballet attire with character skirt and shoes.
  • Modern/Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop Solid color leotards, black tights or jazz pants and jazz oxfords. Footless tights for modern. Bloch tap shoes for tap.
  • Male Students Dance belt, black leggings, white tee shirt and shoes.
  • Ballroom/Latin Leather soled street shoes for men and women (small heel for women)
