This year SPACE offers two Summer Camp sessions. Classes are two-weeks in duration and geared toward active and imaginative children ages pre-K through 5th grade. SPACE's first Summer Camp program begins June 21 - July 2, 2010, with a second program beginning July 5 - July 16, 2010. Classes are offered in both morning and afternoon half-day sessions, allowing parents and children added flexibility. Parents can register children for these popular Summer Camp programs now through May 29, 2010, for $390 per child and after May 31, 2010, for $480 per child.
Chicago's Culture Shock Dance Troupe, a not-for-profit professional hip-hop dance company and youth outreach organization, headlines an all hip-hop/bread dance program at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010. The all-ages afternoon performance will be held at the Southport Performing Arts Conservatory (SPACE), 3433-35 W. Peterson Ave., Chicago. A $4 donation is suggested for the performance.
